Soft Skin buoys are the newest solution to high requirement environments, such as the Offshore Oil & Gas. They replace the traditional hard-shell plastic buoys, and evidently the older steel buoys, with a more resistant and malleable soft skin made of a special polyurethane compound. These buoys are extremely resistant to physical damages such as collisions, compressions, sudden movements and other factors, thanks to their ability to absorb impacts. They are similar to foam-filled fenders. This is the closest to a complete list of soft skin buoys that we could produce.
